Courtesy shuttle transportation is available to your desired destination within the Paramus, NJ area. Return transportation is also available when services to your vehicle are completed. Please contact your Service Advisor in advance to reserve your spot on the shuttle.

Loaner Car Policy

At Mercedes-Benz of Paramus, we offer a complimentary loaner vehicle for factory-scheduled Mercedes-Benz maintenance, with available pickup and delivery to your home or office. We kindly request your cooperation in following a few basic policies while driving your loaner vehicle:

  • I understand that, to the extent permitted under applicable law and subject to the terms set forth on Page 2 of the Loaner Agreement, I am ultimately responsible for any loss or damage to the vehicle - while the vehicle is in my possession - regardless of whether I am at fault for the loss or damage.   
  • I understand that I am responsible for the vehicle's condition until it has been inspected and check-in by a dealership employee. 
  • The dealership is not responsible for personal property left in a vehicle. 
  • I understand this loaner includes 75 free miles per day with any additional mileage charged at $1.00 per mile, and I authorize the use of the credit card provided for payment of any such fees. 
  • I understand I am responsible for any traffic or toll violations incurred while the vehicle is in my possession. I am not permitted to utilize my Toll/EZ Pass to absorb these fees as the vehicle is the property of Mercedes-Benz Paramus, and I authorize the use of the credit card on file for payment of such fees. Any unpaid Tolls, Parking and moving violation, will be charged to the credit card on file and will include a $25.00 administration fee per VIOLATION. 
  • The vehicle must be returned with the same amount of fuel as at the time of check-out. A $6.00 PER GALLON REFUELING FEE WILL BE ASSESSED FOR ANY USED AND NOT RREPLACED. I authorize the use of the credit card provided to replenish the fuel used in the vehicle (at the indicated rate) while the vehicle was in my possession. 
  • All vehicles are non-smoking vehicles. Evidence of any kind of smoking will result in a $500.00 smoke removal detailing fee, and I authorize the use of the credit card provided for payment for any such fees. 
  • No pets, except for approved service animals, are permitted in the vehicle. All service pets are to be registered at the time of rental and proof of service animal certification is required before authorization will be provided. Any violation of the above will result in a $300.00 cleaning fee, and I authorize the use of the credit card on file for payment of any such fees. 
  • An up to $150.00 cleaning fee will be assessed if the interior/exterior of the vehicle requires more than a standard car wash or normal vacuuming, and I authorize the use of the credit card on file for payment of any such fees. 
  • Vehicles may be driven within a 50-mile radius from our dealership. (A map of this radius has been provided for review) A charge of $1.00 per mile will be charged for all miles driven in excess beyond the radius. The vehicle's location will be tracked by GPS and/or other technology and any mileage charges will be due upon return of the vehicle. 
  • If the loaner vehicle is 12 hours late or more from the time of customer vehicle completion, there will be a $150.00 late fee. I authorize the use of the credit card on file for payment of any such fees. 
  • There will be a charge of $350 ($500 for out-of-state). Once the courtesy vehicle is returned, you will be liable for any gas and toll charges and the remaining balance will be refunded back to you. Please note that the driver's license, insurance card, and credit card must match so we can provide you with the vehicle.

Please understand that our loan car program is a dealer program offered by, and at the expense of, Mercedes-Benz of Paramus. The exclusions are only so that we can best serve our clients. Mercedes-Benz of Paramus reserves the right to discontinue loan car privileges to those violating the policies above, and terms of our Loan Car Policy are subject to change without notice.
