Mercedes-Benz Financial Services (MBFS) has created the Rising Star Program to offer recent college graduates, students, and first time buyers the Mercedes-Benz experience. The Rising Star Program offers requirements aimed towards customers with minimal credit histories so they can enjoy their early success and start the journey as Mercedes-Benz customers for life.


Vehicle Eligibility:

New Mercedes-Benz vehicles leased or financed through MBFS only

Program Eligibility:

College Graduate Requirements*:
Geared toward those with a degree, no car credit and no progressing through their career

Name of College/University
  • Must be an accredited for-year College or University -or- 
  • Accredited Graduate Program -or-
  • Accredited Registered Nursing Program

Proof of Enrollment or Graduate Status

  • Proof of Enrollment or Graduate Status (Copy of Graduate's Diploma or Official Transcript) -or-
  • Letter from Registrar's Office stating intent to graduate within the next 6 months

Proof of Income

  • Most revent pay stub -or-
  • Last three months' bank statements

Advance Requirements

  • Amount Financed or Capitalized Cost not to exceed $50,000
  • Advance within standard guidelines for approved tier

Credit Requirements

   -24 months of established tradeline credit history on file**
   -No derogatory credit history, including public records or collections

Student Requirements*:

For local and international students needing a path toward approval.

Name of College/University
  • Must be an accredited for-year College or University -or-
  • Accredited Graduate Program -or-
  • Accredited Registered Nursing Program

Proof of Enrollment
  • Official Transcript -or-
  • Letter from Registrar's Office

Proof of Income
  • Last three months' bank statements showing sufficient cash flow to support payment/debt

Advance Requirements
  • Amount Financed or Capitalized Cost not to exceed $50,000
  • Advance within standard guidelines for approved tier

Credit Requirements
  • No derogatory credit history, including public records or collections

Cap Reduction/Security Deposit
  • 20% Cap Reduction
  • 10% Security Deposit

First Time Buyer Requirements*:

A great option for those with limited credit who do not require a high amount to finance.

Proof of Income
