Recently, Mercedes-Benz Vans and ESPN teamed up to benefit a local Salvation Army in Connecticut with a donation that featured toys and a new Sprinter van.
How These Generous Donations Helped the Salvation Army
The Salvation Army that received this generous donation was based in Bristol, CT. With the 300 toys donated by employees of ESPN, the Salvation Army was able to help almost 100 families in need through the Overflow Angels program. In addition to the donated toys, Mercedes-Benz Vans chipped in and contributed a brand-new Sprinter passenger van toward this holiday-themed cause. By seating up to 14 passengers, in addition to the driver, the Sprinter van will help transport students around the local area safely and efficiently.
ESPN Radio's Golic and Wingo - the network's morning drive show - has performed this giving tradition twice now with 2019 marking the second time. With such a family vibe between the team members and the audience of Golic and Wingo, it's no surprise that they choose to spend time supporting local families and communities through organizations like the Salvation Army. It's a tradition that is sure to live on into 2020 and beyond.
